Master Terry Hanner has trained in Taekwondo for over 40 years and has competed and practiced with some of the best Martial Artist in the world. He received his black belt in 1975 with the Jhoon Rhee Institute of Taekwondo from Jhoon Rhee himself!

In the following years he became well-known for his record-setting (over nine foot) High Flying Sidekick! Along the way he trained and competed with world-renowned fighters and practitioners, like the famous Bill ”Super Foot" Wallace.

Eventually he became affiliated with the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) under the Instruction of Master John Tompkins from St. Louis Mo. Master Hanner became a World Champion fighter numerous times competing all over the world, including Moscow, Russia, Rimini, and Italy.

In the mid 1990's Master Tompkins and Master Hanner became Integral figures with the Global Taekwondo Federation (GTF), under the Leadership of the late Grand Master Park Jung Tae, Founder of the GTF and a former Instructor for General Choi Hung Hi.

Currently, Master Hanner is still training students and teaching his famous “Flying Side Kick” in Chattanooga, TN under his own affiliation, Hanner International School of Taekwondo, AKA HANNERTKD!
